PLAYA OSTIONAL
This quiet fishing village has a beautiful beach that often goes unvisited by tourists. A great place to relax and watch the fishermen over a cold beer!
PLAYA MADERAS
Located north of San Juan del Sur, Maderas offers a laid-back bohemian vibe, legendary sunsets, and a vibrant surfing culture. Several bars & restaurants on site.
PLAYA MAJAGUAL
Majagual captivates visitors with its secluded and untouched charm, boasting a pristine sandy shoreline embraced by towering cliffs and a backdrop of dense jungle. Perfect for those seeking tranquility away from the crowds. The most northern beach in San Juan del Sur. Has a bar/restaurant on site.
PLAYA YANKEE
Just steps away from Casa Domos, this pristine, unspoiled beauty is perfect to enjoy some solitude, a surf, or a gorgeous sunset.
PLAYA HERMOSA
This beautiful, sandy beach is perfect for a relaxing day. Full service bar & restaurant with palapas, hammocks, and plenty of shade. Surf board rentals available (C$100 entry fee).
PLAYA ESCAMECA
A simple, stunning beach with a single palapa for shade and a no frills bar/restaurant. You may be lucky to catch a sea turtle release at the small sanctuary here.
PLAYA COCO
A picturesque white sand beach enveloped by impressive cliffs. Bar & restaurant available nearby, however they are not always open.
PLAYA LA FLOR
A breathtaking nature reserve known for turtle nesting. Witness this incredible act of nature if the timing is right. Hiking trail, mangrove swamps, birdwatching and sealife (C$200 entry fee).

LEON

OMETEPE ISLAND

TRANSPORTATION
IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS
For transportation from Managua or Liberia (rates for up to 2 passengers):
Managua, Nicaragua to Casa Domos: $120 (each way)
Liberia, Costa Rica to Casa Domos: $180 (each way)
Additional passengers will incur an additional fee. For the Liberia to Casa Domos route, you will have to cross the Nicaragua/Costa Rica border. The entry fee to Nicaragua is $13 per person plus $1 municipal tax. A driver will drop you off at the border, and a different driver will be waiting once you cross the border.

Make sure you have cash (USD) available to pay drivers if you are using a taxi or transportation service, along with cash for the entry fees to Nicaragua.
A 4X4 is a must to reach Casa Domos after entering the Vista Del Mar community. This is especially applicable if you are driving your own vehicle or a rental.
We highly recommend stopping at the Pali market in San Juan del Sur on the way to Casa Domos to stock up on food, beer and other items needed for your stay.
There are also many pulperias (small stores) along the way to Casa Domos where you can stock up on the basics: beer, soft drinks, snacks, rice/beans, some basic toiletry items, etc.
Otherwise, head to San Juan del Sur for your grocery needs (about a 20 minute drive from Casa Domos).
